Have a long view, discipline and strength of conviction to stick with basic principles. This means keep the debt level down and equity level high. Preserve capital. Capital is hard to create in the first place. Cash flow is what keeps you going. Don’t end up on the ash heap like many people who couldn’t survive the last recession, usually because they had too much debt and couldn’t make their payments. There will be another recession sooner or later.
